"Miami E11even" was my landscape project in my Intro to Graphic Design course. It is one of my favorite designs I have created, and it is my most complimented piece that I have made. The negative space created with the dark purples against the contrasting pastels on the buildings create a nice depth. It is a design that I photoshopped together with different pictures and used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create an unrealistic landscape with unnatural color. I had a lot of fun arranging and aligning all of the different photos together.
"Summer Jam" was my landscape project in my Intro to Graphic Design course. It is based off Bonnie Maclean's style, a poster designer from the 1960's. It follows a psychedelic design with wonky, unevenly proportioned letters, creating a "trippy" kind of vibe. Doing this project helped me discover how much I loved to use vibrant colors to stand out. I went back and forth between Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create a poster with a vibrant color scheme that still creates depth. The color palette is similar to the composition above, which helped me realize how much I loved working with vibrant color schemes.
"The Babe Cave" is a hair salon in my hometown owned by a girl I went to cosmetology school with named Morgan Millard. She reached out to me in Spring 2022 and had asked me to sketch some ideas for a new logo. I used a photo of one of her lash extension promotion pictures and photoshopped it with one of her brow waxing photos to create a customized eye. Within a few weeks, she had it printed and posted out front as her new sign. Doing this has opened up a new line of commissions for me because now people in my hometown see what I am capable of designing. I made this with the use of Procreate and Canva for inspiration.
